Sir, please step away from the constitution...

Interpretation. Laws, rules, contracts, vows are all subject to interpretation. Even when it seems straight forward such as... "shall not be infringed", there are always those who will differ in it's meaning. For some they will decide on a meaning that best suites the circumstance of the present day. Others will base it's meaning on when it was written. To me, contracts have to be enforced based on original intent or they are basically worthless. And our Constitution is a contract between the government and it's people.

Original Intent. What was meant when it was written. Makes sense. But common sense is a rare thing these days it seems.

U.S. Supreme Court Justice Antonin Scalia visited San Diego last week. I was so disapointed I missed seeing him. This man is on my top 10 list of people I'd like to have a beer with. He is a patriot.  Scalia spoke on his approach to interpretation of the Constitution which he labeled “originalist.” Scalia described originalism as looking to what the words of the Constitution originally meant. He asserted that was is the only valid way to approach interpreting its meaning. Looking at the words and asking what those words meant to the people who wrote them. Not feelings... not emotion... and not a living document.  He said “Constitutions are supposed to be rigid,” What a concept. I have said it before. If you want to see what a founder looks like, just look at Justice Scalia. I just wish there were more like him on the court.

Proud when my son burned the American flag...

There are certain images that always cause me to stop and to ponder their significance. Retiring Old Glory is one of them. It's sad most will never experience and share in it's importance and sanctity of these events. My son, in red, was able a few weeks earlier with a few scouts from his pack, present a new flag to fly at the library during a presentation by Vietnam Vets. The worn flag was brought to our scout camp-out where it was retired properly by burning. Just as we did then, I salute it one final time and pledge...

Operation Do Over!

You know what is really hard to stomach anymore?  I can handle progressives. I know what they are... just plain evil and hell bent on destroying our Constitution. I can tolerate democrats even though by claiming to be a blue dogs, they are just as bad because they empower the ideas of progressives (communism). But I am SICK AND TIRED of most republicans... especially those that have been in office for more than 2 terms. We are where we are today BECAUSE OF THEM! They sit there and spew that if given a chance they could fix everything. Yet when they were in power they didn't do crap... I take that back. They did do crap! They are socialists by every definition. Government grew under them. Debt grew under them. And all their bank accounts grew under them. All while our freedoms and liberties disappeared.

ENOUGH IS ENOUGH! Kick ALL Their Asses OUT! 

I know there are a handful in office that would benefit the republic. Bachman and Ron Paul to name two. But we need to repopulate our government with We The People! You can't cure an infection with the puss still there. And I see puss every time I turn the tv on. They'll claim they have needed experience. To do what? Most have never had a real job in their life. Read the constitution... adhere to your oath you swore to God to defend... that's all I want from you. I want housewives that have balanced a check book, teachers that actually love teaching, mechanics, plumbers... cable guys to "Get'er DONE!" What I don't want is some east coast, ivy league  attorney with their nose in the air and their head up their .... to dictate to us how we should be taken care of. I want someone from a junior college who actually had to go to class in between work. I want a little league coach who does what he does because he loves it. I want people like you and I because we have realized that our republic was a gift from our Creator and it is being squandered away. I'm hoping it's not too late.

It's time to do over. We absolutely can not do worse.

I made this after coming across a similar hitler poster used to organize the youth of nazi germany. Fast forward a few decades. Same story. My son is in third grade and in public school. Next Tuesday our supreme leader is wanting to speak to him without permission. I can do 2 things. Keep him home. Or let him go to school but go with him as he watches  and then explain to him the truth when he gets home.

The Return of Red Shirt Friday!

Today I got an email telling me about Red Shirt Friday. Ok. Ok. I know this has been around a while. I first heard of this back about 4 years ago. Didn't put too much thought into it because our republic was safe under ole GW... fool me once, shame on you. Red Shirt Friday was an idea by a couple military wives to show honor to soldiers in harms way. Though it never really took off I think is was a novel idea.

For me, being a husband to my wife, raising two boys, working 3 jobs, just trying to connect the dots in this thing called life... I really don't have a lot of time for the battle at hand. But I try to do what I can. I post my opinions where ever/when ever I can, I read and learn (you all amaze me in the conservative bloggisphere), I've gone to a couple tea protests and been flipped off by passing cars, (I'm still mad at my uncle Bob... I know where you live), I fly my Gadsden flag and Sons of Liberty flag outside my home all the time, much to the dismay of my HOA (another communist organization), my cars all have my Dont Tread on Me stickers I made posted on them (for sale on Ebay!), I bought a ton of pocket Constitutions I hand out with a Constitution oath card I made (for free) letting people know that this written document is the way it's suppose to be and not the crap they tell us to believe... I try to do what I can.

But unless I know you personally, I have no way of easily connecting with like minded patriots. So why not a Red Shirt Friday? Why not a simple "Tea Party" once a week? How cool would it be to go to a Walmart on Friday (looking for ammunition) and see others who give you a smile and a thumbs up wear their red shirt. (we have have to work on a secret hand sign)

And the red shirt can stand for the Constitution... for limited government... for the principles that made this country great, for respect to our men and women... brothers and sisters who have stepped up and volunteered for the service of our country regardless of it current marxist leadership. Best of all, if we got enough of us together, it would really piss the progressives off. That's good enough for me.

For  democracy to be allowed to flourish in Central America it would be a blow to the marxist movement taking place in the New America. Kennedy, what you won't hear this week...

One of Ted Kennedy's main contributions (to destroying our republic amongst others) was his support for the 1968 gun control act. Interesting legislation. Much of it was copied verbatim from the 1938 gun control act of democratic socialist party of Germany. Wait a minute. Yes that would be called nazi germany...  (please let pelosi know which side she is on). Ted Kennedy, RIP...

RIP...  But for those he left behind, it will take generations to undo the socialist scars he has left on our republic. Kennedy has always been the poster child of why we need term limits. He was an example that nothing is impossible as long as your family has enough money... including homicide.

And the main difference between this and union thugs carrying out card-check is... ? I would say card-check has the ability to be much worse. Vermont Concealed Carry Information

Concealed Permit:
It is lawful to carry a firearm openly or concealed provided the firearm is not carried with the intent or avowed purpose of injuring a fellow
man. There is no permit required to carry concealed.

Requirements:
1. Be of age. In the state of Vermont, that age is 16 or older. You must be at least 16 years of age to legally purchase a gun and keep it loaded on your person in public.
2. Obtain permission from a parent or guardian to carry a gun if you're under the age of 16. Failure to do so may result in being deemed a delinquent child by the state.
3. Have a clean record if purchasing a firearm. Things like felony convictions and dishonorable military discharge will show up during the federal instant check, and prohibit purchase.

Automobile carry:
Rifles and shotguns carried in a wehicle must be unloaded; handguns may be carried loaded and concealed.

Places off-limits when carrying:
1. School bus or school building or on school property.

NEW YORK — Former New York Giant Plaxico Burress pleaded guilty Thursday to a weapons charge and agreed to a two-year prison term for accidentally shooting himself at a Manhattan nightclub.

First off... Plaxico is an idiot. There are lots of them here in this country. But New York State is out of line in this punishment of this man. Carrying a gun to a club where you will be drinking is stupid. I am an unconditional proponent of concealed carry based on Vermont regulations for nationwide use. Carrying a weapon to a club would not be allowed. But Plaxico was robbed of his civil rights in the occupied territory of progressive New York. I would rather had a jury trial. 2 years is the crime here. A fine... absolutely for being stupid and careless. But not jail.

I read this story from several different news outlets and not once did I find he was black. Maybe the press is finally becoming color blind? NOT A CHANCE! A WTP (We The People) American

It is not a secret of who I would like see hold the highest office the next time around (If our country is still here). I want someone who resembles my beliefs and convictions. And there are some out there. I am a huge proponent of 2 ladies, Palin and Bachmann. Both have had a life before politics, something that is eerily missing in our present ruling trash. I came across a quote from Michelle Bachmann this morning...

Proud of the real America. Not the new in-visioned one of the other Michelle whose husband would like to destroy and then remake it.

Palin-Bachmann 2012... brings a tear to my eye in the utter meltdown the press, progressive left (same thing) and established republicans would have. I WOULD LOVE IT!!!

Governors oppose DoD emergency powers

It is amazing these little things (huge things) seem to go by with little attention. The DoD is asking that in a time of emergency (as defined by the guy in the white house) the federal government can take control of all the guard units which have always been under the governors control. Why have governors? Why have state legislators? Why have state courts? Why even have local authority? Leadership based on early Israel, God ordained, is now daily being turned into a fascist monarch of beelzebub. All hail obama.

I have to tell you, as I go through my day I read a lot of news. Things happen so fast. One day of news in modern America is more than a month just a couple of decades ago. For the most part I think that is a good thing because it's harder for domestic enemies to get away with things. But there are some down sides. I tend to skim over what should be important. Every day there are men and women who are laying down their lives for you and me. I have to stop and reflect that every day there are men and women laying down there life for you and me. They are gone... forever. They and their family have made the greatest sacrifice. Donating to charity, giving time to church, even public service at the highest levels - pales in comparison. Yet the country focuses on a little dittie from bill's better half (which isn't saying much).

I am going to make an effort to stop when I see an article like this and say a prayer and thank these patriots. I will pray for their families. Unbelievable grief will be with them now for the rest of their life. And I am humbled.
