It was signed into law last night just before the stroke of midnight. Purchased ammunition in California will now be registered. This also includes reloading supplies for the construction of ammunition. As with our governor, Austrian born and progressive socialist Adolf Hitler laid the groundwork for gun restrictions that culminated with bans and confiscation. Arnold stated that cold medicine is restricted so there is no reason not to do the same for bullets. (I'm checking my copy of the constitution but I don't see the part on medicine as a 'shall not be infringed right')
Just a wonderful start to the week.

It is now time to test the mettle of the Californian people.
ReplyDeleteBest wishes to you, Bryan.
Thank you S3. I really don't think there is much hope for this state. Our next governor will either be 70's radical Jerry Brown (D) or Meg Whitman (R) of ebay fame (just another Rino from the Bay area). Judges rule our state regardless of the vote of the people. And unfortunately as California goes...
ReplyDeleteKansas needs you, Bryan. If you need to move, move here.
ReplyDeleteI've been seeing the video of the thugs involved in a gunfight all day today Rattler. And I have no problem at all with hunters. Collectors. People that want to defend their homes. A myriad of other reasons responsible, law abiding citizens need the right to own guns. But where can we draw the line between sane gun control that keeps guns away from thugs and good people keeping their rights?
ReplyDeleteI don't know of any law abiding citizen where I'm from being denied a gun. Perhaps if you gave some examples of law abiding citizens having their guns confiscated I would be more in tune with your post.

ReplyDeleteTruth101 - Personally for me if you are mentally stable and not a violent crime felon, the Second Amendment and "shall not be infringed" is pretty clear as to what you can do. You can use a firearm for protection. And that means not just when at home. When you have to get a permit or register your purchase, now it becomes a privilege and not a right. In California we are not allowed to conceal carry as it is only for the elite. Criminals know this so that is why assault is so high here. On the other hand Vermont has one page (vs 68 for California) of gun laws with NO permit needed to own or carry concealed for those 16 years and older. And this state is ranked 48th in violent crimes. Little by little California is making it more difficult for gun ownership, First it was banning evil looking guns, then it was 15 day waiting periods (background checks take only minutes). then it was banning cheap guns (can the poor afford a $600 Glock?), and now registering ammo. All this does is make it more difficult for you and I. Criminals don't obey the rules in the first place. Next on the agenda is limiting purchases to just 50 rounds a month. Then what?
ReplyDeleteI don't know if Vermont and California qualify as a fair comparison Rattler. But I would like to see comcealed carry become legal in Illinois and see if it affects the crime rate in Chicago or Peoria. If nothing else, maybe it would start people on minding their manners better.
ReplyDeleteDemocracy is two wolves and a lamb voting on what to have for lunch. Liberty is a well-armed lamb contesting the vote.

Thanks for stopping by my site.
ReplyDeleteReality is on the 2nd is that the Constitution is not set in stone for libs. They can ignore the parts they don't agree with.
I think it is unlikely they will repeal the 2nd, it's too hard to change the Constitution. Problem is, they don't have to do this, they can just erode the rights one silly law at a atime.
I'm usually on top of issues esp. those concerning the first 2 Amendments...don't know how I missed this one...Thanks for the heads up...
ReplyDeleteIs it time to move?--I always used to say that some of us in CA must stay and fight---I'm beginning to re-think that statement....
The only conclusion to this is that the government does NOT trust the populous. Plain and simple. Our Founders knew this would be the case and therefore took all control away from the political hacks. Yet by our inaction we have empowered them. I have no doubt that the only way back to a Constitutional government is through MASS DISREGARD of non Constitution based regulations. I see no other way.
ReplyDeleteArnold Schwarzenegger is, in my opinion, one of the worst governors of any state ever. He has completly screwed up California's economy and is causing an even higher unemployment rate due to state worker furloughs. I to have created a blog to show my disliking of him at againstarnold.blogspot.com. May god help California!
