somehow as a nation we have chosen to set aside just one day to give thanks... thanks for things, thanks for family, thanks for blessings and thanks for the freedoms you have given us. To do so only once a year we are an undeserving people. But Your hand continues to surround us. And protect us.  For this we truly give You all the honor and glory. May we not forget that all we have is from You. God we ask Your continued blessing on us as a nation. We ask Your protection on those that fight for our freedoms and bless their families as they sacrifice. Please open our eyes and help us realize that You are still in charge and for us who call Your Son, Savior, the book is already written and we can rest assured that we are with You in the end. May others accept this promise and join us also.

What do I tell my boys...

As a dad and Cub Scout leader, I along with the help of devoted parents, work hard to teach young boys the meaning of things such as honor and respect. No where in my opinion is this more important than giving reverence of our flag. On Thursday of this week my den went to the local library to start the process of replacing their flag. They knew it would be the last time this particular symbol of our nation would fly above our little town. As such they realized that this was a special time and these usually squirmy 8 year olds stood, saluted, recited the Pledge of Allegiance and remained for the entire event at attention. They know the meaning of honor.

Last night at our pack meeting our boys also had the privilege of being Color Guard. We had practiced with smaller flags as to the procedure. But when the time came we discovered the flags and poles were huge... and heavy. 4 foot boy - 9 foot wood pole and 8 foot cotton flag.  It took all their strength to keep their flags upright. Not one boy complained because they were too heavy. They knew what an honor it was. But they feared that somehow their flag would touch the ground. They know the meaning of respect.

This morning I found this picture at Nobody Asked Me of the President of the United States at a flag presentation on Veteran's Day. This man has no idea as to honor and respect. He is a disgrace. But I still have to tell my sons and our scouts that he deserves our respect. But that's a hard pill to swallow when at every step he shows nothing but contempt for our nation and constitution and the men and women who have sacrificed and continue to defend us.

The most dangerous place in America.

The Fort Hood massacre got me thinking about if there really is any place you can be safe today. Reality is... no there's not. Some of the safest in theory, are actually the most dangerous in reality. The whole idea of 'gun free zones' is ludicrous... it is also evil. It is fiction. The actual name should be 'Protection Free Zones" because it is here you are totally defenseless. The pc groups over the last 40+ years have perpetuated this myth. I would happier to know that some of the staff, a couple teachers, a visiting parent and the janitor were able to be the first line of defense for our kids. Instead their rights and our kids rights to life have been stolen. Citizens.... no. Subjects.... yes.

The problem with Romney...

Mitt Romney was on the radio this afternoon giving his 2 cents. Amongst other things he was asked about the republicans loosing their way during clinton and early bush. His reply (talking points from the RNC) is that they got a taste of power and it went to their heads. Nothing new here. But he also stated that one of their problems is "they grew government too fast"... "they GREW government TOO fast".  What about the idea of NOT growing government at all? Is there any doubt that there is only a couple degrees separating the two occupying progressive parties in washington?  
Do not be misled by the deception of republicans like this.  He is no conservative.  Neither is the RNC!

Teacher beheaded in Philippines

Police in the southern Philippines say the severed head of a kidnapped schoolteacher has been found in a bag at a petrol station.

Gabriel Canizares was abducted by the group Abu Sayyaf three weeks ago. His body is still missing. 

So as not to be one day charged with a hate crime against this wonderful, peaceful and tolerant muslim religion, I will comment no more.

Where are the checks and balances?

Where are the checks and balances? In other words what really does the supreme court do? Section 2 states the judicial power shall extend to all Cases, in Law and Equity, arising under this Constitution. It is there to protect the country from tyranny either from the executive or legislative... or both. But when really do they step in? After the bloodbath? After 5 of the judges are arrested and replaced with marxists such as the last nominee?
I know you have read it before, but in the Declaration it states..."Governments are instituted among Men, deriving their just powers from the consent of the governed, — That whenever any Form of Government becomes destructive of these ends, it is the Right of the People to alter or to abolish it, and to institute new Government, laying its foundation on such principles and organizing its powers in such form, as to them shall seem most likely to effect their Safety and Happiness."
The majority of people have spoken and rejected this progressive reform of health care. Congress sticks their noses up as 'they' know better. Destructive to the consent of the governed? Please tell me of a greater abomination than the speaker of the house and this congress. And please tell me of those more guilty of treason than those voting Yes last night. their vow to uphold the constitution is a LIE!
When will our supreme court say STOP. A suit needs to be filed now. Let's figure out if this is even allowed to be done by the federal government. I believe it is not. Regardless, 5 judges should be checking their brakes every day for  unwanted acorn or seiu  repairs.

The enemy within... to god against country.

This is my opinion concerning the so called "religion of peace".

First and foremost I do not consider islam to be a religion but instead a cult. A cult is "a sect considered to be false, unorthodox, or extremist, with members often living outside of conventional society under the direction of a charismatic leader." Outside conventional society is the key here. This man in Texas... first of all he was no man. This vermin in Texas, followed to the 't' the teachings of his god, to kill those who do not believe as he.

Make war on them until idolatry is no more and Allah's religion reigns supreme - Sura 8:39 

This a cult of violence. They are not protected under the blood sacrificed Right of Freedom of Religion.  Freedom of religion does not give you the right to sacrifice your kids(though planned parenthood and obama may argue), it doesn't allow you to take child brides (though mohammad was a pedophile by taking a 7 year old as his wife), and it doesn't allow murder of those whom you disagree with.

Yet our leaders cry for us to be sensitive as this was an isolated incident by a troubled, depressed soldier. He was neither. He was a murderer who swore an oath to allah, and rejected his country. Those who reject violence in islam are technically just bad muslims. He was a good muslim. No other way he could do it. And he is a traitor. And if you defend his beliefs... or his 'rights' to those beliefs, it must be a pretty cold image in your mirror.  ALL muslims are suspect.

Right to carry...

 Unless a right is exercised, it is not a right but a privilege. The second amendment was paid for by the blood of patriots. To follow a tyrannical government who restricts these rights, makes their sacrifice to be in vain. Then your role as a citizen is nothing more than that of a servant.

Don't celebrate too fast...

America is still on the ropes... and heading in the wrong direction... regardless of the bump last night. This is how I see it...

For the most part, the right slant over came the left slant by a margin of just 55 to 45. That means there are 55 of us still paying for not only our services, but also for those 45 who voted left. Worded differently, 45 out of 100 still expect everything to be provided for them by the sweat and sacrifice of the other 55. And they know their  vote will give it to them. They know their vote counts as much as ours. Victory for the right? I say no. At least not until the margin is 7 to 3 or even 8 to 2.

What we have still is a populace of giver and takers. And the takers are still there growing in numbers every day. This time they just stayed home playing video games or watching the View. The revolution is still facing us on the horizon. Don't loose focus. It's still ours to loose.

We have kicked the floorboards and they are scurrying for cover.  Any conservative that sends money to this party is a traitor to the constitution and our founder's ideals.
