Just my 2 cents on Glenn Beck....

Last week I sat back and watched and listened to the many comments on Glenn Beck and his role in not only restoring honor to America but in rebuilding faith amongst believers. Many were disappointed that Christian leaders would share a stage and Christians in general would travel across the country to listen to and be inspired by... a Mormon. That just being there they would somehow give credence to his faith and weaken the 'true' message of Christ. That Christians were selling out.

But... what if... now hang in there with me... what if all of this is God's plan to surround Glenn with believers? That God is using this rally, movement  or whatever you may call it, to somehow work on Glenn in his walk. Could God do this? Would He do this? And how many of those who stood up and chastised Christendom for "selling out" actually took time to pray for Glenn? Very few I imagine. That is sad. All I have ever seen or heard from Glenn is that we are a fallen people and our country is in need of God's grace. No shattering news there. As believers, maybe it time to show some of that grace back to Glenn.

  1. I was watching the History Channel yesterday, and they were covering all of the 'apocalyptic doom sayers' through history and of the attraction they had to many.

Reminds me of Glenn Beck. When he talks on politics, he gets his chalk out and sketches out doom, gloom, and the upcoming 'apocalypse' if things keep going as they have been.

Makes for good ratings. I just am not a doom and gloom kind of guy.

That's just my take on Glenn "Gloom and Doom" Beck. He's probably right on a lot of the technical economics, but I already know all that. Democrats in power = bad things happen to us. Yeah, we all got that, Glenn.

  2. Thanks Fredd. Some have called Beck a modern day Thomas Paine. Maybe. Regardless, it is undeniable that he has opened the eyes of many especially concerning the history of this nation. I being one of them. I am thankful to him for that. I would also say that established republicans also = bad things. It will have to be a conservative... maybe even a little libertarian groundswell to save our country.

  3. Rattler:

Establishment Republicans = bad things. So true, we gotta do something about that. So far, so good with some of the Tea Party activists and their results in the primaries. Particularly in Alaska. Since most of us are not activists, but show up to vote, we may all be surprised at what happens on November 2, 2010.

  5. Good point. I don't always agree with Mr. Beck, and sure as anything I don't believe in the Mormon religion, but danggit his show, and the information that he brings, is so, so good!

  8. You're nobody's fool Rattler. You must see the remarkable similarity between Glen Beck's schtick and Bishop Fulton Sheen's from almost 50 years ago.
